- Raleigh City Council proposed a citywide curfew for teenagers.
- It's a response to specific incidents in Glenwood South and Brier Creek — but it would apply to every teenager, everywhere in the city.
- You cannot underinvest in young people and then punish them for the consequences.
- Belonging creates safety — not curfews.
- Council delayed its vote. Nothing is final — sign the petition, take the survey, or pledge to be ready when Council acts. Link in bio.

Subject: Raleigh's youth curfew vote was delayed — it's not over Hey, Raleigh City Council proposed a citywide curfew for teenagers, in response to a handful of incidents in Glenwood South and Brier Creek. Instead of investing in young people, the city considered criminalizing all of them. Council has since delayed its vote — there's no new date, and nothing is final. I'm asking you to take two minutes: 1. Sign the petition: [link] 2. Take the 3-minute survey: [link] 3. Pledge to be ready when Council schedules next steps: [link] Belonging creates safety — not curfews. Thanks, [Your name]

Tagging Council members
How to tag them
When you post, tag your district's Council member and the Mayor so they see it directly. Raleigh publishes each member's official contact info and social handles at raleighnc.gov/council — we're intentionally not guessing anyone's handle here since those change and we only want to tag people correctly. Once you have the right handle, a simple format works well: "@[CouncilMember] — I'm asking you to invest in youth, not curfews. #youthovercurfews #investinyouth #fortheyouth919"
